The Nintendo 64 enjoyed dominance of the 64 bit era, producing such classics as Zelda: Ocarina of Time, reinventing the RPG for a new era, and James Bond Goldeneye; a first person shooter so innovative it is still, to this day, held as the benchmark against which all newcomers are compared. Donkey Kong provided gamers with a highly addictive and fun 3D platformer, whilst Killer Instinct became an instant hit in the beat ‘em up genre, challenging gamers with ludicrously long combos.
