Nintendo DS
The
Nintendo DS offers a
dynamic new angle to the traditional hand-held games system. Since the release
of this system, the DS has remained massively popular, and is commonly credited
with bringing the gaming culture to a larger audience than regular consoles. The
DS utilizes not one, but two LCD screens, one of which is a touch screen. The
system also breaks from the norm by not only featuring a regular D-pad, but also
a Stylus, which is used in conjunction with the touch screen to give interactive
control.
Other quirky additions to the Nintendo DS include an in-built microphone which can be used for voice recognition and other audio-responsive games, and LAN capabilities allowing for communication between friends. The DS offers a large range of gaming titles; famous franchises include Final Fantasy and Zelda, to new innovative offerings that stimulate the mind, such as brain-training games and Sudoku. With an ever-expanding range of software and dynamic games the Nintendo DS looks to remain wildly popular with all audiences.
