Wii Classics: Super Mario Galaxy
The Wii has provided modern gaming with a host of great titles, with one of the highest ranking being Super Mario Galaxy . Released towards the end of 2007, this game still remains one of the standout titles for the console.
With Bowzer having kipnapped Princess Peach, it's up to Mario to save the day once again. To do so he will recquire the help of a strange spacefaring race known as The Lumas. Mario must go and gather enough Stars to power the space station. Once they have enough power they can sally out to rescue the beleaguered princess.
Super Mario Galaxy puts the titular hero through his paces, as Mario must traverse a number of huge and entertaining levels using brand new skills.. The game also includes a transformation system which Mario can utilize to take the form of fire, ice and even a ghostly apparition. Gone are the days of simple platforming, as each planet Mario visits includes its own unique gravity system and landscape. This helps to keep the gameplay dynamic and fresh.
Super Mario Galaxy was hailed as Game of the Year by many top magazines and sites, and it isnt difficult to see why once you're in the game. Ranked amongst blockbusting games like Halo 3, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, and Rock Band, Super Mario Galaxy is considered one of the all time great Wii Games!
